Another “car” I almost bought once and regret not. It would be great in L.A., too.

I never have seen one for real. I must go travel more. And further away.

Same here. I’m doing a world automobile tour when my ship comes in.

It’s not that I haven’t ‘been places’. But Japan is something I should do pretty quick now.

Yeah, me too. They have a really cool car culture. It’s fairly new, so they are typically enthusiastic about it.

It’s just that language I fear. I fear it a lot. But maybe English would be sufficient nowadays. It’s intrigued me always. Ever since ‘Black Rain’.

You can’t even read the signs to translate shit. I’ve been to Thailand. They get enough tourists that you can get around with English. Japan is probably the same.
That’s a film I’ve forgotten about. I love watching Japanese movies from the 50’s and 60’s to look at the cars.

Thailand is awesome. If you really want an easy Asian experience go to Malaysia. Best Asain experience thusfar was the Phillipines though. But somehow I expect Japan to be more difficult.
True Japanese 50/60s movies? Subtitled I pressume? Any recommendations?

Definitely subtitled. There’s a great Kurosawa film called High and Low. It’s one of his rare non-samurai films and is a really great story. And there’s a series about a women’s prison called Female Convict Scorpion that’s one of my favorite things in the world.

Haha, these will definitely be resourced somewhere, that trailer was AWESOME!

The sequel to that one, Female Convict Scorpion: Jailhouse 41 is my absolute favorite movie in the world (which probably says something weird about me), but this is the better trailer. That woman who stars in them, Meiko Kaiji, is really something. That’s her singing the theme song, too.

Now where in the world am I going to find something this obscure online...

It’s on dvd, so it’s out there somewhere. It’ll change your life.
